YSPA only accepts students who will be rising high school Juniors or Seniors during the time of the program, which should be the summer between one's Sophomore and Junior or Junior and Senior year of high school.
Note: limited financial aid will be given out on an as-needed basis as grants of either 25% or 50% of the full tuition. If you are admitted, we can assist you in raising your 75% or 50% of the tuition, but if it is impossible for you to raise at least 50% of the tuition cost, you might reconsider submitting your application, as it is unlikely that we will be able to give any students 100% financial aid. Also please note that the reason for this question is so that YSPA knows whether to send you an application for financial aid. Your answer has nothing to do with the selection process and will not be taken into consideration during the review of the applications.
Accepted YSPA participants who members of Mu Alpha Theta may be eligible to apply for the Mu Alpha Theta summer grant at http://www.mualphatheta.org/index.php?grants/summer-grants.
