Transportation Requirements
Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from our campus.
Air Travel
Traveling from outside the Northeast region
We recommend flying into New Haven’s Tweed Airport (HVN) or Hartford’s Bradley Airport (BDL), or a New York City airport (JFK, LGA, EWR). Alternatively, you can fly into Providence Rhode Island’s T.F. Green Airport (PVD) or Boston Logan Airport (BOS).
- Flying into New Haven’s Tweed Airport: The airport is just a short cab ride from Kline Tower. There are now direct services from Avelo Airlines to over 30 destinations in the Mid-West and on the East Coast.
- Flying into Hartford’s Bradley Airport: The airport is about 50 miles from New Haven. Van shuttle services are available to and from the airport (e.g. CT Limo or Go Airport Shuttle).
- Flying into New York City: Van shuttle services are available to and from the New York City airports (e.g. CT Limo or Go Airport Shuttle).
- AirTrain and LIRR are available from JFK/Jamaica to connect with the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line at Grand Central Terminal to New Haven’s Union Station.
- Bus services are available from LGA to connect with the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line at Fordham-125th Station to New Haven’s Union Station.
- Amtrak services are available from the Newark Airport (EWR) to New Haven (NHV).
- Flying into Providence’s Rhode Island Green Airport: The airport is about 95 miles away from New Haven. Bus services are available from PVD to connect with Amtrak at Providence Station to New Haven’s Union Station.
- Flying into Boston Logan Airport: Bus services are available from BOS to connect with Amtrak at Boston South Station to New Haven’s Union Station.
Train Travel
Traveling from the Northeast region
- From Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC: We recommend taking the Amtrak to New Haven’s Union Station (NHV). Kline Tower is a short cab ride from the station.
- From New York City: Take the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line to New Haven Union Station.
