Raj is a rising senior double majoring in Astronomy and Chemistry. He spends most of his time in the chemistry laboratory studying chemical modifications to RNA, but he also has a deep passion for astronomy. Within astronomy, he is most interested in using spectroscopic techniques to characterize the chemical compositions of exoplanet atmospheres. He hopes to combine his many passions into a career in space medicine, where he uses his background in astrochemistry to better understand the effects of spaceflight on human physiology. Raj enjoys volunteering at the observatory on public nights and is always eager to talk about anything astronomy-related.
